Answer The Call Of Eternity
Today we stand as heirs of promises beyond our wildest hopes and imaginings, but handicapped by being born into the constraints of this world with ears untrained to hear the pulse of heaven.
We grow up thinking everything that exists is defined by what we see, touch, smell, taste, and hear with our physical senses. Our minds absorb it and are framed by it, even as the eternity in our hearts cries out for more—for a taste of the infinite.
Why do you think stories about magic and superheroes are so popular in our culture today? It is because there is something in us calling out for that which is beyond our day- to-day experience. The heaven in our hearts is calling out for the supernatural, while the world in our minds is drawn instead to science fiction.
We know in our deepest selves that there is a world more real out there than the Matrix we live in, but confused by the world's lies, too many of us settle for simple stories rather than taking on the quest of knowing the one true God—the only real answer to the call of eternity in our hearts. (The Prayer Warrior's Way,pg. 5.)
Ecclesiastes 3:11 AMP: He also has planted eternity in men's hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy].
